This weekend Bernardo Concrete, Inc. was asked to perform some ADA upgrades in the city of Rancho Cucamonga. Rancho Cucamonga is located in San Bernardino County. It is surrounded by the cities of Fontana, Ontario, Upland, and Claremont. This project was performed in a busy business park, so, it had to be done on the weekend. When our customers called us, they were in need of advice. It seemed that some of their concrete crosswalks and ramps were in need of ADA upgrades. The first thing Bernardo Concrete had to do was to lay out the new ramp and crosswalk in preparation for the saw cutter. The existing ramp and crosswalk was made from concrete pavers and were a beautiful addition to this business park. Unfortunately, they did not meet the ADA codes and some of them had to be removed. Once the existing pavers were removed, Bernardo Concrete, Inc. created wooden forms and poured new concrete. We paid special attention to making sure the grading and truncated domes were ADA compliant and safe. BCI is a concrete contractor that knows the ADA codes and regulations.
