This was a small, but important, job that included demolition and concrete construction. About the Concrete Repair Project
This particular job may seem small and simple, but Bernardo Concrete, Inc. has the experience to know how to avoid the mistakes other concrete contractors may make. In this case, BCI was contracted to remove paving stones that were just outside a doorway. The paving stones were attractive, but the rains had proven that they were no’t providing adequate drainage and the dirt between the paving stones was making mud puddles. Because this was a small area very close to the building, BCI actually had to be very careful and precise. The paving stones were removed and the area was taken down 4 inches in preparation for a new concrete walkway. Much of the work was done by hand with wheelbarrows and special care was taken to tape plastic around the work area to protect the building. BCI was also very careful to lay down plywood, so as not to track mud throughout the rest of the property. BCI is a very conscientious concrete contractor and they leave the job site as neat, if not neater, than when they arrived.
